About the Role
Our client is looking for a reliable and organised Catering Supervisor to oversee daily catering operations and support the management team in Derby . This role involves leading a small team of catering staff, ensuring high standards of food preparation, service, and hygiene. You will be responsible for coordinating services for various events and daily functions, liaising with clients and suppliers, and maintaining efficient operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual with good leadership skills and a keen eye for detail, contributing to the smooth running of our client's catering services through both on-site supervision and effective remote coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide the catering team during service, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
- Assist in food preparation, service delivery, and event setup/breakdown.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies and managing inventory.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations in all kitchen and service areas.
- Liaise with clients and customers to ensure satisfaction with catering services.
- Maintain accurate records of staff shifts, inventory, and operational activities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the catering or hospitality industry.
- Good understanding of food preparation, service standards, and hygiene protocols.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
