About the Role

Our client is seeking an energetic and reliable Catering Team Leader to guide and support their catering staff in Nottingham . This role is vital for ensuring the smooth execution of catering services at various events and venues. You will be responsible for leading a team, overseeing service delivery, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring client satisfaction on the ground. This hands-on leadership position requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to teamwork and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of catering staff during events, ensuring efficient service delivery.
• Oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of catering for events, ensuring all details are managed correctly.
• Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards at all times.
• Communicate effectively with clients and venue staff to address needs and resolve any immediate issues.
• Assist in managing stock and equipment during events, ensuring proper handling and return.
• Train and guide junior team members, reinforcing service standards and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Catering Assistant , Waiter, or similar role, with some experience in a lead capacity.
• Understanding of basic catering procedures, food safety, and hygiene standards.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a small team effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Physical stamina for standing and moving for extended periods during events.
