Catering Team Leader

About the Role

Our client is looking for an energetic and reliable Catering Team Leader to join their dynamic team in Portsmouth . In this role, you will be instrumental in supervising the delivery of exceptional catering services for events, ensuring high standards of food presentation, customer service, and operational efficiency. You will provide guidance and support to the catering team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment both on-site and potentially in hybrid remote administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate catering staff during events, ensuring smooth execution of service duties.
• Oversee the setup and breakdown of catering stations, including food presentation and cleanliness.
• Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards throughout all service periods.
• Provide excellent customer service, interacting with guests and addressing any immediate needs or concerns.
• Assist with stock management, including receiving deliveries and maintaining accurate inventory.
• Report on event service performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement to management.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role, with some supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
