Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician
40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday
£16.11 per hour, £33,508.80 per annum

As an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician, you’ll play a vital role in delivering safe and efficient patient care while working with advanced automated systems and a supportive, high‑performing team.
The heart of the role
- Final Accuracy Checking – Conduct thorough final checks on all dispensed prescriptions to ensure patient safety and eliminate errors.
- Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance – Maintain full compliance with GPhC, NHS, and statutory pharmacy standards at all times.
- Operational Efficiency – Support productivity through effective use of automated dispensing systems and streamlined workflows.
- Stock & Inventory Control – Manage stock rotation, audits, and cost control processes in line with SOPs and business objectives.
- Team Support & Development – Train, mentor, and delegate tasks to dispensers and pharmacy teams to ensure effective operations and skill utilisation.
What makes you tick
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) and registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC.
- Proven experience working as a Pharmacy Technician within a dispensing environment.
- Strong, up‑to‑date understanding of pharmacy laws, standards, and safe dispensing practices.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and patient safety.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
