About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Charity Administrator and Support Officer to join their team in Manchester . This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the organisation, providing essential administrative support to staff and volunteers, and assisting with various projects. You will be the first point of contact for many inquiries, managing communications and ensuring that all administrative processes are efficient and effective. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses excellent communication skills, and is passionate about supporting the charitable sector .
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and general correspondence, directing inquiries appropriately.
- Maintain accurate filing systems, databases, and records for the organisation.
- Provide administrative support to the team, including scheduling meetings and preparing documents.
- Assist with event logistics, from coordinating attendees to preparing materials.
- Process donations and maintain donor records with accuracy and discretion.
- Support the onboarding process for new volunteers and staff members.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative or office support role, preferably within a charity or non-profit setting.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
