About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organised and proactive Charity Administrator to provide essential administrative support to their operations in Sunderland . This role is fundamental to the smooth running of the organisation, ensuring all office functions are efficient and effective. You will be the first point of contact for many, handling inquiries and managing correspondence, while also supporting various teams with their administrative needs. This is a key role in a dedicated charitable organisation committed to making a positive impact in Sunderland and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and phone calls, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain and update organisational databases, records, and filing systems.
- Provide administrative support to staff and management, including preparing documents and presentations.
- Coordinate meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
- Manage office supplies, equipment, and general office upkeep.
- Assist with the preparation of reports, newsletters, and other communication materials.
- Support event logistics and coordination as required.
Requirements
- Proven administrative experience, ideally within the charity or non-profit sector.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with a high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in Sunderland .
