Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with organisational goals.
• Create engaging content for a variety of platforms, including social media, website, newsletters, and press releases.
• Manage the organisation's social media presence, fostering community engagement and responding to inquiries.
• Liaise with media contacts to secure positive press coverage and manage public relations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including beneficiaries, donors, and community groups.
• Monitor media coverage and communications performance, providing regular reports on impact and reach.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Communications Officer or similar role, preferably within the charity or non-profit sector.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences.
• Proficiency in social media management tools and content creation platforms.
• Experience in developing and executing communication strategies.
• Strong understanding of media relations and public relations principles.
