About the Role

Our client is looking for a creative and driven Charity Communications Officer to join their team in Leeds . You will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging communication strategies to raise awareness of the charity's work and impact. This role requires a skilled storyteller who can craft compelling narratives across various platforms to connect with beneficiaries, donors, and the wider community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social causes and a proven ability to manage multiple communication channels effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans to promote the charity's mission and activities.
• Create engaging content for websites, social media, newsletters, and press releases.
• Manage the charity's social media presence and online engagement strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with media contacts and external stakeholders.
• Monitor media coverage and analyse communication campaign effectiveness.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a communications or marketing role, preferably within the charity sector .
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a talent for creating compelling content.
• Experience managing social media platforms and digital communication tools.
• Strong understanding of media relations and public relations principles.
