Charity Events Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and innovative Charity Events Manager to lead their event strategy in Newcastle upon Tyne . This exciting role focuses on conceptualising, planning, and executing a diverse range of fundraising events, from large-scale galas to smaller community gatherings. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of all major fundraising events in Newcastle upon Tyne , including concept development, budgeting, and logistics.
• Manage relationships with external suppliers, venues, and contractors to ensure successful event delivery.
• Develop innovative event concepts that engage existing donors and attract new supporters.
• Oversee event marketing and promotion to maximise attendance and engagement.
• Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maximising return on investment.
• Provide on-site management during events, resolving issues and ensuring a seamless experience for all attendees.

Requirements

• Significant experience in event management, preferably within the non-profit or charity sector.
• A strong portfolio of successfully delivered fundraising events, demonstrating creativity and impact.
• Excellent project management, organisational, and budget management skills.
• Exceptional negotiation and supplier management abilities.
• Strong marketing and communication skills, with experience in promoting events.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
