About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Charity Finance Assistant to support their financial operations in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports, ensuring the charity operates with financial integrity and transparency. You will work closely with the Finance Manager, playing a key part in the effective management of the organization's resources to support its charitable mission. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with processing invoices, expenses, and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes as directed.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an accounts or finance role, preferably within a charitable organization .
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
