About the Role
Our client, a well-established charity dedicated to providing essential community services, is seeking a qualified and experienced Charity Finance Manager . This hybrid role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring robust financial management, compliance, and strategic financial planning to support the organization's mission. You will play a key role in maintaining financial health, providing accurate reporting, and contributing to sustainable growth, balancing your responsibilities between remote work and required in-office engagement in Norwich .
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management accounts, and annual reports.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, charity law, and accounting standards.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
- Provide financial advice and support to the senior management team and the Board of Trustees.
Requirements
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably within the charity or non-profit sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, charity SORP, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage responsibilities effectively in a hybrid work environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
