About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Chemical Engineer with a focus on Asset Integrity to join their team in Liverpool . This role is crucial for ensuring the safety, reliability, and longevity of their chemical plant and associated equipment. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for asset maintenance, inspection, and risk assessment, working closely with operations and maintenance teams. This hybrid role offers a great opportunity to contribute to critical safety and operational objectives within a well-established industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the asset integrity management system for chemical plant equipment.
- Conduct risk-based inspections (RBIs) and recommend appropriate maintenance strategies.
- Oversee integrity assurance activities, including pressure systems and piping inspections.
- Investigate equipment failures and provide technical recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and regulatory requirements for asset safety.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure new assets meet integrity standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a strong process focus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in asset integrity, maintenance, or reliability engineering within the chemical or process industry.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME).
- Experience with corrosion management and materials selection.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment techniques and failure analysis.
- Excellent reporting and communication skills.
