Our client is looking for a diligent Chemical Engineer to provide essential operations support for their manufacturing plant in Derby . This hybrid role combines on-site presence for plant engagement with remote capabilities for analysis and reporting. You will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of chemical processes, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements. The successful candidate will have a strong practical understanding of plant operations and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to plant operations, addressing process upsets and deviations.
- Monitor key process indicators and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.
- Conduct root cause analyses for operational issues and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in process safety reviews and ensure adherence to operating procedures.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to ensure plant reliability.
- Support capital improvement projects related to plant upgrades and modifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in chemical plant operations or process support roles.
- Familiarity with process control systems and instrumentation.
- Understanding of process safety principles and environmental compliance.
- Good analytical skills and the ability to interpret process data.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
