Our client is seeking a dedicated Chemical Engineer to oversee and improve plant operations at their facility in Norwich, Norfolk . This role is crucial for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable production of chemicals. You will be responsible for process monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing improvements to enhance performance and minimize environmental impact. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor plant performance data and identify trends or deviations.
- Troubleshoot process upsets and implement corrective actions to restore operations.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance yield, efficiency, and safety.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Assist in the management of change process for plant modifications.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure asset integrity.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering .
- 3-7 years of experience in plant operations or process engineering within a chemical manufacturing setting.
- Solid understanding of chemical processes, unit operations, and process safety principles.
- Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving in a production environment.
- Familiarity with process control systems (DCS/SCADA).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
