About the Role
Our client, a well-established manufacturer of industrial chemicals, is seeking a proactive Chemical Engineer to focus on process improvement initiatives at their facility in Liverpool . This role is vital for enhancing operational efficiency, safety, and product quality within their production environment. You will be responsible for analyzing existing processes, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement. This is a hands-on position for an engineer who is passionate about optimizing industrial operations and contributing to a safer, more productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current chemical manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement projects focused on optimizing process parameters, reducing waste, and improving energy consumption.
- Conduct root cause analyses for production issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Ensure all process changes comply with stringent health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with production teams, maintenance staff, and quality control to achieve process objectives.
- Document process improvements, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on project progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering .
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in a process engineering or manufacturing role.
- Proven ability to analyze process data, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement effective solutions.
- Strong understanding of chemical process principles, unit operations, and process control.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
