About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Chemical Engineer specializing in Process Optimization to join their established team in Portsmouth . This role focuses on enhancing the efficiency, yield, and sustainability of existing chemical manufacturing processes. You will apply your technical expertise to identify bottlenecks, implement improvements, and ensure operational excellence. The ideal candidate is analytical, hands-on, and committed to driving tangible improvements within the production environment. Working within our Portsmouth facility, you will collaborate closely with plant operations and engineering departments to achieve key performance targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing chemical processes to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, cost reduction, and waste minimization.
• Develop and implement process modifications, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Utilize process data and simulation tools to model process changes and predict outcomes.
• Conduct trials and experiments to validate optimized process parameters.
• Troubleshoot process deviations and implement corrective actions to maintain operational stability.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations on process optimization initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering .
• Proven experience in process optimization, scale-up, or manufacturing support.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with process data analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with process simulation software and statistical process control (SPC).
• Good understanding of chemical plant operations and safety procedures.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within the Portsmouth site.
