Chemical Engineer - Project Management

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and organised Chemical Engineer with strong project management skills to join their team in Oxford . This role is instrumental in overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of various chemical engineering projects, from conception through to completion. You will coordinate resources, manage timelines, and ensure projects meet technical, safety, and financial objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle, including scope definition, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, operations, R&D) and external stakeholders (vendors, contractors).
• Ensure all projects adhere to stringent health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Track project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Communicate project status updates effectively to senior management and relevant parties.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical engineering, with at least 2 years in a project management or coordination role.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering engineering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with process design, safety principles, and plant operations is essential.
