Chemical Engineer - Research & Development

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory experiments to explore novel chemical reactions and process concepts.
• Analyse experimental data, interpret results, and contribute to the development of new process designs.
• Scale-up laboratory processes to pilot plant or demonstration scale, identifying key operational parameters.
• Collaborate with chemists, material scientists, and other engineers on R&D projects.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, research proposals, and patent applications.
• Ensure all laboratory work adheres to safety protocols and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related scientific field.
• 2-4 years of experience in chemical research, process development, or laboratory-based engineering.
• Strong understanding of fundamental chemical engineering principles, including reaction kinetics and thermodynamics.
• Experience with laboratory equipment, experimental design, and data analysis.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
