Chemical Engineer - Special Projects

About the Role

Our client is looking for a versatile Chemical Engineer to take on challenging Special Projects at their site in Wolverhampton, West Midlands . This role will involve working on a variety of unique and high-impact projects, from conceptual design and feasibility studies to implementation and optimisation. You will apply your broad chemical engineering knowledge to solve complex problems, often in collaboration with external partners and other departments. This is an ideal opportunity for a proactive and innovative engineer who enjoys tackling diverse technical challenges and driving significant process improvements across different business areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical aspects of special projects, including feasibility studies and conceptual design.
• Develop process designs, P&IDs, and equipment specifications for novel applications.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for assigned special projects.
• Conduct detailed process analysis, modelling, and simulation for complex scenarios.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and operational teams to ensure successful project integration.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience, with a strong background in process design and project execution.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage diverse technical challenges.
• Experience with various chemical processes and unit operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
