Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize processes for the synthesis and manufacturing of specialty chemical products.
- Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale experiments to evaluate new materials, reaction pathways, and processing techniques.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to improve yield, purity, and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality regulations in process design and operation.
- Collaborate with the R&D team on new product introductions and scale-up activities.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing operations and assist in the implementation of process improvements.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related scientific discipline.
- 3-6 years of experience in process engineering, R&D, or manufacturing within the specialty chemicals sector.
- Strong understanding of organic chemistry, reaction kinetics, and separation techniques relevant to specialty chemicals.
- Experience with process simulation, data analysis, and statistical process control.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and SHE standards.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
