About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Chemical Plant Engineer to enhance their operational efficiency and safety in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is essential for maintaining and improving the performance of our chemical processing facilities. You will be involved in overseeing plant operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing process improvements. Working within a hybrid model, you will balance on-site responsibilities with remote collaboration, ensuring continuous productivity and adherence to stringent industry standards. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of chemical processing units, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of plant equipment and systems, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot process deviations and equipment malfunctions, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Implement process improvements and modifications to enhance yield, reduce waste, and lower operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations and company policies.
- Support the planning and execution of plant maintenance and shutdown activities.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in plant operations or chemical process engineering.
- Strong knowledge of chemical plant equipment, processes, and safety systems.
- Experience with process control systems and data acquisition.
- Ability to work effectively both on-site and remotely.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
