About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Chemical Plant Engineer to manage and maintain the operational integrity of their manufacturing facility in Nottingham . This hands-on role involves overseeing all aspects of plant engineering, including equipment reliability, maintenance, and capital project execution. You will ensure that the plant operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and process knowledge, coupled with excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the maintenance and repair programs for all plant equipment and systems.
- Develop and execute preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Oversee the planning and execution of plant modifications and capital projects.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize plant performance and reliability.
Requirements
- BEng or BSc in Chemical Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in plant engineering or maintenance within the chemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of process equipment , rotating machinery, and plant utilities.
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Proficiency in project management and contract negotiation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
