About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Chemical Plant Engineer to join their operational team in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire . This role is essential for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our chemical manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for overseeing plant operations, implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. You will work closely with site management and operational staff to maintain high standards across the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control plant operations to ensure optimal performance and output targets are met.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of chemical processing equipment to minimize downtime.
- Implement process safety management (PSM) protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Conduct root cause analysis for operational deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Manage daily operational activities, including resource allocation and scheduling.
- Develop and deliver training to plant operators on safe operating procedures and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and operating chemical plants or similar industrial facilities.
- Strong knowledge of process safety management (PSM) and hazard analysis techniques.
- Experience with control systems and instrumentation in a chemical processing environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex operational issues effectively.
- Leadership skills and experience managing operational teams.
