About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Chemical Process Design Engineer to join their innovative team. This role operates on a fully remote basis, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere. You will be responsible for developing conceptual designs, detailed engineering specifications, and process simulations for a variety of chemical projects. Key Responsibilities
- Develop process designs, including PFDs, P&IDs, and mass/energy balances for new and modified chemical plants.
- Perform process simulations using industry-standard software to analyze and optimize process performance.
- Specify process equipment, including reactors, heat exchangers, pumps, and control systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical reviews for process design options.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines to ensure design meets requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout the design process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in chemical process design and engineering.
- Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and CAD tools.
- Strong understanding of unit operations, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
- Experience in developing technical specifications and equipment datasheets.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, essential for effective remote collaboration.
