About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Chemical Process Development Scientist to join their advanced research and development team, operating in a fully remote capacity. This role is focused on pioneering new chemical synthesis routes and optimizing existing processes for scalability and efficiency. You will work at the forefront of chemical innovation, translating laboratory discoveries into robust, manufacturable processes. The position demands a strong scientific background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively in a virtual environment, contributing to groundbreaking projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute laboratory experiments to develop and optimize chemical synthesis routes.
- Characterize reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, and mechanisms to understand process behaviour.
- Develop scalable and cost-effective processes suitable for pilot plant and commercial manufacturing.
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques for process monitoring and product characterization.
- Collaborate closely with R&D chemists, engineers, and project managers in a remote setting.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, patents, and presentations on process development findings.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Chemistry , Chemical Engineering , or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process development, synthesis optimization, or scale-up.
- Expertise in organic synthesis, catalysis, or related areas.
- Proficiency with laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation.
- Experience with process simulation and modeling is advantageous.
- Exceptional scientific judgment and strong remote communication and teamwork skills.
