About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Chemical Process Development Specialist to join their dynamic team near Plymouth, Devon, UK , operating on a hybrid basis. This role focuses on the innovation, optimization, and scale-up of chemical processes critical to the company's product lines. You will be involved in research, experimental design, data analysis, and the successful transition of processes from laboratory to pilot and commercial scale. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and optimization of chemical processes from bench scale through to commercial production.
• Design and execute experimental plans, using statistical methods to analyze data and draw conclusions.
• Develop process models and simulations to predict performance and identify key operating parameters.
• Conduct technical reviews and risk assessments for new and modified processes.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, documentation, and presentations on process development activities.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful technology transfer.

  Requirements
• Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in process development and scale-up.
• Strong expertise in reaction engineering, separations, or other relevant chemical engineering unit operations.
• Proficiency with process simulation software and statistical analysis tools.
• Experience with pilot plant operations and technology transfer protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills, suitable for a hybrid work environment.
