About the Role
Our client, a growing manufacturer of specialty chemicals, is seeking a motivated Chemical Process Engineer to join their operational team in Nottingham . This role is focused on the day-to-day optimization and safe operation of chemical production processes. You will be instrumental in ensuring efficient throughput, maintaining product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the plant. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize ongoing chemical manufacturing processes to ensure maximum efficiency and yield.
- Troubleshoot process-related issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with the production team to implement process changes and improvements safely and effectively.
- Conduct process hazard analyses (PHAs) and participate in safety review meetings.
- Maintain detailed records of process performance, operational parameters, and improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering .
- 2-5 years of experience in a process engineering role within a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of chemical unit operations, process control, and safety procedures.
- Ability to analyze process data and implement practical solutions for operational challenges.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and continuous improvement principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
