Chemical Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Chemical Process Engineer to join their expanding operations in Sunderland . This role is crucial for maintaining and improving the efficiency and safety of our chemical manufacturing processes. You will be involved in day-to-day operational support, troubleshooting, and implementing process enhancements. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor plant operations and process parameters to ensure optimal performance and output.
• Identify and troubleshoot process upsets, implementing timely and effective solutions.
• Participate in process hazard analyses (PHAs) and update safety documentation as required.
• Assist in the development and validation of new process procedures and operating guidelines.
• Support capital projects related to process modifications and equipment upgrades.
• Generate reports on process efficiency, yield, and quality metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering .
• 3-5 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing or process engineering role.
• Familiarity with process control systems and instrumentation.
• Understanding of chemical reaction engineering and separation processes.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
