About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and capable Chemical Process Engineer to contribute to their manufacturing operations in Portsmouth . This role focuses on optimizing existing chemical processes, troubleshooting operational issues, and supporting the implementation of new technologies. You will play a key part in enhancing production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and maintaining high safety and environmental standards. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a solid grounding in chemical engineering principles and a desire to make a tangible impact in a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse process performance data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, yield, and quality.
- Troubleshoot process deviations and equipment malfunctions, implementing effective solutions.
- Support the design and implementation of process modifications and upgrades.
- Develop and update process documentation, including operating procedures and batch records.
- Conduct safety reviews and ensure compliance with site-specific safety and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with production, quality control, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 2-4 years of experience in a process engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with process control systems and data analysis techniques.
- Good understanding of chemical safety principles and environmental regulations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
