About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Chemical Process Modeler to join their team in Plymouth, Devon . This role is focused on developing and utilizing advanced simulation models to design, analyze, and optimize chemical processes. You will work on a variety of projects, from conceptual design to troubleshooting existing operations, using sophisticated modeling software. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of chemical engineering principles, and expertise in process simulation tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and maintain dynamic and steady-state process models.
- Use simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, UniSim) for process design and optimization.
- Analyze model outputs to predict process behavior and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with process engineers to define modeling requirements and interpret results.
- Support process start-up, troubleshooting, and debottlenecking efforts through simulation.
- Contribute to the development of best practices in chemical process modeling.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering .
- Proven experience in chemical process simulation and modeling.
- Proficiency with industry-standard simulation packages.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics , fluid mechanics, and reaction engineering.
- Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
