About the Role
Our client is looking for a diligent and safety-conscious Chemical Process Operator to join their production team in Nottingham . This vital on-site role involves operating and monitoring various chemical processing equipment to ensure the consistent production of high-quality products. You will be responsible for following strict operating procedures, maintaining a safe working environment, and performing routine checks on machinery. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong work ethic and a commitment to operational excellence in a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment, such as reactors, pumps, and filtration systems, according to established procedures.
- Perform routine quality control checks and make necessary adjustments to maintain product specifications.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Conduct pre-start-up safety checks and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Maintain accurate logs of production activities, including batch records, process parameters, and material usage.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production area.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a chemical operator or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred.
- Basic understanding of chemical processes and industrial equipment.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to operating procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
- Good observational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work shifts if required.
