About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent Chemical Production Engineer to oversee and optimize operations at their facility in Liverpool . This role focuses on ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-quality production of chemicals. You will work closely with plant operators and maintenance staff, troubleshoot production issues, and implement process improvements. The ideal candidate is a practical engineer with a strong understanding of chemical manufacturing principles and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day production activities, ensuring targets for output, quality, and safety are met.
• Monitor process parameters and implement adjustments to maintain optimal operating conditions.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for production-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure product specifications are consistently met.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

• BEng or BSc in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in chemical production or operations.
• Familiarity with process control systems and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
• Understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
