About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent Chemical Production Engineer to support and enhance their manufacturing operations in Edinburgh . This role is vital for ensuring the efficient, safe, and consistent production of chemical products. You will be responsible for monitoring plant performance, troubleshooting operational issues, and implementing improvements to optimize output and quality. Working closely with plant operators and management, you will play a key part in maintaining high operational standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor day-to-day production activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve immediate production issues, working with operators to maintain process stability.
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower operating costs in Edinburgh .
- Participate in safety reviews and ensure all production activities comply with safety regulations.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes.
- Support the commissioning and validation of new equipment and process modifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 2-4 years of experience in a chemical production or process engineering role.
- Solid understanding of chemical manufacturing principles and unit operations.
- Experience with process monitoring and data analysis.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in chemical plants.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
