Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead their financial operations and provide strategic financial guidance from their offices in Sheffield . As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, risk management, and investor relations. This critical role requires a forward-thinking financial leader who can drive profitability, ensure financial stability, and contribute to the company's long-term strategic growth. The ideal candidate possesses deep financial expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to ethical financial practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, including long-term financial planning and forecasting.
• Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage treasury functions, including cash management, debt financing, and capital structure optimization.
• Lead financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting processes to provide insights for strategic decision-making.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with investors, banks, and other financial stakeholders.
• Implement and monitor robust financial controls and risk management frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
• Provide strategic financial advice and guidance to the CEO and Board of Directors.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in senior financial leadership roles, such as CFO, VP of Finance, or equivalent.
• Proven track record in financial planning, analysis, accounting, and corporate finance.
• Deep understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and risk management.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities, with experience managing finance teams.
• ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification; MBA preferred.
