About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished and experienced Chief Pilot to lead their flight operations team based near Belfast . This senior leadership position is responsible for the overall safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance of all flight activities. You will manage pilot recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance, ensuring the highest standards of operational excellence. This is a critical role for an aviation professional looking to make a significant impact on flight operations and contribute to a safety-first culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of flight operations, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
• Develop and implement pilot training programs and recurrent proficiency checks.
• Manage pilot scheduling, duty time limitations, and crew resource management (CRM).
• Conduct flight evaluations and performance monitoring of pilots.
• Liaise with aviation authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Act as a key advisor on all matters pertaining to flight safety and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) with relevant type ratings.
• Minimum of 10 years of flight experience, with significant time in command.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role (e.g., Chief Pilot, Training Captain).
• Strong understanding of aviation legislation, safety management systems (SMS), and risk assessment.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Ability to foster a positive and safety-conscious flight crew environment.
