About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Child Development Officer to join their reputable early years setting in Bristol . This role involves working closely with children aged 0-5, focusing on their developmental milestones and providing tailored support to ensure they thrive educationally and emotionally. You will contribute to creating an enriching and stimulating learning environment, observing and assessing progress, and collaborating with colleagues and parents to support each child's unique journey, being part of a team that is committed to delivering outstanding childcare and fostering a foundation for lifelong learning, promoting a holistic approach to child development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging activities that support children's holistic development, including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills.
• Conduct thorough developmental assessments and observations, identifying any areas where additional support may be required.
• Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, fostering a collaborative approach to child development.
• Liaise with external agencies and professionals when necessary to support children with specific needs.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Early Years Education, Childcare, or related field (e.g., Level 3 or above).
• Proven experience working with young children, with a strong understanding of child development theories and practices.
• Knowledge of assessment tools and techniques for tracking child progress.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and adults.
