Childcare Assistant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and caring Childcare Assistant to become part of their friendly team in Derby . This role focuses on supporting the lead practitioners in providing a safe, stimulating, and fun environment for children aged (Specify Age Range, e.g., 1-5 years). You will actively participate in daily activities, assist with children's routines, and contribute to maintaining high standards of care and hygiene. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision and care of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Support the implementation of a stimulating curriculum and engaging activities designed for child development.
• Help prepare and serve meals and snacks, catering to dietary requirements.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised learning environment.
• Assist with children's personal care routines, including nappy changing and toileting.

Requirements

• Previous experience in childcare is desirable, though enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key.
• A foundational understanding of child development and safeguarding procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A reliable, patient, and responsible approach to work.
• Commitment to undertaking relevant training, such as Level 2 or 3 in Childcare.
