Childcare Assistant

About the Role

Our client is looking for a warm and reliable Childcare Assistant to support their team in Milton Keynes . You will assist in providing a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children, helping to implement daily routines and activities under the guidance of senior staff. This hybrid role allows for some flexibility while ensuring direct interaction and care for the children, contributing to their positive development and learning experiences within a well-regarded childcare setting that values both in-person engagement and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision and care of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Support the planning and delivery of daily activities, including play, arts and crafts, and outdoor exploration.
• Help maintain cleanliness and tidiness within the nursery environment.
• Communicate with parents and carers regarding their child's day and development, fostering positive partnerships.
• Support colleagues in delivering high-quality childcare provision.

Requirements

• Experience in a childcare setting is advantageous, though not essential for motivated candidates.
• A basic understanding of child development and safeguarding procedures.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
