Childcare Practitioner (Stoke-on-Trent)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Childcare Practitioner to join their busy nursery in Stoke-on-Trent . You will play a key role in providing a high standard of care and education for children aged from birth to five years. This involves engaging with children in stimulating play, supporting their learning and development, and ensuring their safety and well-being. The successful candidate will work as part of a committed team, contributing to the nursery's positive and nurturing atmosphere. Key Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for young children.
• Plan and implement a range of age-appropriate activities to support children's learning and development.
• Observe and record children's progress, identifying any areas needing extra support.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Adhere to all nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Childcare and Education.
• Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting.
• Good understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
