About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and nurturing Childcare Practitioner to join their esteemed nursery in Edinburgh . This role is dedicated to providing a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for young children, fostering their early development through engaging activities and care. You will work as part of a dedicated team, contributing to the daily routines, curriculum implementation, and ensuring the well-being of every child in your care. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
• Supervise children closely, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times, adhering to strict safeguarding policies.
• Provide a high standard of care, including assistance with personal hygiene, feeding, and napping.
• Maintain accurate and informative records of children's progress and development, communicating effectively with parents and guardians.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all children.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and contribute to team planning.

Requirements

• Relevant childcare qualification (e.g., SVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent).
• Previous experience working with young children in an early years setting.
• A genuine passion for childcare and early childhood development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and adults.
• Knowledge of child protection policies and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
