Childminder Assistant

About the Role

Our client is looking for a reliable and nurturing Childminder Assistant to support a registered childminder in Leeds . This part-time role involves assisting with the care and supervision of children in a home-based setting, helping to create a safe, fun, and stimulating environment. You will work closely with the lead childminder to support children's play, learning, and daily routines, gaining valuable experience in a flexible and rewarding childcare role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily care and supervision of children under the guidance of the registered childminder.
• Engage children in a variety of play activities, both indoors and outdoors, to support their development.
• Help prepare and serve healthy snacks and meals for the children.
• Maintain a clean and tidy environment, ensuring all safety standards are met.
• Support children's routines, including nap times and personal care.
• Communicate positively with the lead childminder regarding children's progress and any concerns.

Requirements

• Experience working with children is preferred but not essential; a genuine passion is key.
• Understanding of basic child safety and hygiene practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with a caring nature.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training, such as Paediatric First Aid.
• Must be patient and energetic, with a positive approach to childcare.
