Childminder Assistant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a nurturing and responsible Childminder Assistant to support a registered childminder in Liverpool . You will assist in providing a home-based childcare service, ensuring children are cared for in a safe, stimulating, and loving environment. This role involves engaging children in play, assisting with daily routines, and supporting their learning and development under the guidance of the lead childminder. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the registered childminder in planning and providing a range of stimulating activities for children of various ages.
• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Support children's learning and development through play and everyday experiences.
• Help with meal preparation, feeding, and managing nappy changes or toileting routines.
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment, adhering to all childcare regulations.
• Foster positive relationships with the children and their families.

Requirements

• A genuine passion for working with children is essential.
• Previous experience in childcare, such as in a nursery or as a nanny, is highly desirable.
• Understanding of child development principles and safeguarding practices.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work as part of a small team and follow instructions.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training, such as paediatric first aid.
