Childminder Assistant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Childminder Assistant to support their established childminding business in Nottingham . This part-time role offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced childminder, assisting in providing high-quality care for a small group of children in a home environment. You will help create a warm, stimulating, and safe space for children to learn and play, assisting with daily routines, activities, and ensuring their well-being. This position is ideal for someone passionate about childcare looking to gain valuable experience and contribute to a nurturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the registered childminder in supervising and caring for children.
• Help plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities.
• Support children with daily routines, including meals and naps.
• Ensure the safety, hygiene, and comfort of all children.
• Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere within the childminding setting.
• Communicate with the lead childminder and parents as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in childcare is highly desirable.
• A genuine interest in child development.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Must be willing to undertake relevant training, including First Aid.
