About the Role

Our client is seeking a warm, reliable, and experienced Childminder to join their dedicated team in Birmingham . You will provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning and engaging activities. Working within a supportive setting, you will manage a small group of children, ensuring their well-being and progress aligns with early years standards. This role is perfect for a caregiver who is passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to creating a home-away-from-home experience for the children in their care, contributing to a positive start in life for every child.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a diverse range of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development across all areas of the curriculum.
• Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all children under your care at all times.
• Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and guardians, communicating effectively about progress and any concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating indoor and outdoor play environment.
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements and safeguarding policies, ensuring a secure and compliant childcare setting.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with young children in a childcare setting.
• Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) are highly desirable.
• A clear understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework or equivalent.
• Excellent observational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to provide or obtain a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
