About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and organised Childminder Coordinator to join their dedicated team in Portsmouth . This role is essential in supporting and developing a network of registered childminders, ensuring they provide high-quality, safe childcare services. You will play a key role in recruiting, training, and monitoring childminders, offering them advice and guidance. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the availability and quality of childcare in the Hampshire region, working remotely with occasional site visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, register, and support childminders, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular monitoring visits and provide constructive feedback to childminders.
- Offer ongoing advice and support on best practices, safeguarding, and curriculum development.
- Organise and deliver training sessions for childminders on various childcare topics.
- Maintain accurate records of childminder inspections, training, and compliance.
- Liaise with parents to help them find suitable registered childminders in the area.
Requirements
- Experience in childcare, ideally within a regulatory or support role (e.g., Ofsted inspector, advisory role).
- Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding procedures, and child protection legislation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record-keeping and communication.
- A driving license and access to a vehicle for occasional travel may be required.
