Key Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing home environment for children.
- Plan and deliver a range of age-appropriate activities, games, and outings to support children's learning and development.
- Ensure children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs are met.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, including observations and accident reports.
- Adhere to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Must be eligible and willing to register with Ofsted as a childminder.
- Hold or be willing to obtain a recognised Childminding Practice qualification (e.g., Level 3 Home-Based Childcare).
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children and their families.
- Own transportation and a valid driving license are often required for outings and school runs.
