Job Description
Our client Worcestershire County Council is looking for a Children's Team Manager to join their Front door teams.
Main Activities & Responsibilities:
Ensure the acceptance and achievement of challenging and realistic plans and objectives for the team. Support staff to achieve the required
Recruit and develop staff that are able to safeguard children and young people. Identify clear priorities for staff particularly in relation to statutory procedures and standards. Manage poor performance robustly.
Exercise delegated decision making so that children and young people are safeguarded and staff have confidence in the
Monitor data and information on team performance and take action to remedy any concerns about the quality or quantity of work
Promote and model proper relationships with service users, their families and carers so they have confidence in the services they
Sustain effective relationships with partner organisations to support the delivery of
Ensure budgets are used to meet the assessed needs of children and young people. Monitor expenditure to ensure it is used to meet team plans and
Generic Accountabilities:
To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff in their development and training.
To undertake other such duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this
To undertake health and safety duties commensurate with the job and/or as detailed in the Directorate's Health and Safety
