Leeds City Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children Looked After Social Worker to join our dynamic team. As a Children Looked After Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to the individual needs of children in care.
• Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
• Providing support and guidance to foster carers and families to promote stability and positive relationships.
• Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

• A recognised social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Experience working within a children’s social work setting, particularly with looked after children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
