Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum

Job Description:

A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Children's Support Worker to join their team in Bewdley. The Children’s Support Worker role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Based in a welcoming residential setting, this position is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting children and young people to thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Encouraging and supporting young people to engage in activities and take responsibility for their lives
• Maintaining a warm, homely, and safe environment within the residential setting
• Responding effectively to challenging behaviours with patience and empathy
• Protecting young people from risks to their health and welfare
• Promoting independence and well-being through tailored support
• Ensuring the safety of all young people and keeping care plans up to date
• Supporting positive behaviour management and the development of life skills
• Building strong relationships with staff, families, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Children’s Support Worker or in a related social care setting is desirable but not essential
• A caring, resilient, and motivated attitude
• Full UK Driving Licence (required for transporting young people)
• Over the age of 21 and able to commute to Tewkesbury
• Passionate about supporting young people through challenging times and making a real difference
