Job Description
We are recruiting an experienced Chiller Service Engineer to join a leading HVAC specialist, providing service, maintenance and repair of commercial cooling systems across a varied customer portfolio.
This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong background in commercial chillers who also has a good understanding of wider HVAC systems. Working in a field-based position, you'll be responsible for keeping critical cooling equipment operating safely, efficiently and reliably while delivering an excellent level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive service work on commercial chillers.
* Diagnose faults and complete repairs on a range of cooling systems.
* Carry out inspections, testing and performance checks.
* Service and maintain commercial HVAC equipment from a variety of manufacturers.
* Complete digital service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
* Ensure all work complies with current Health & Safety and industry regulations.
* Provide technical advice and support to customers on site.
* Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with customers and internal teams.
Requirements
* Proven experience servicing and maintaining commercial chiller systems.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
* Good working knowledge of commercial air conditioning and HVAC equipment.
* Experience working in a mobile field service role.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
* Full UK driving licence.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.
* F-Gas Refrigerant Handling Certificate.
* Relevant HVAC or Mechanical Engineering qualifications.
Salary & Benefits
* £45,000–£50,000 basic salary.
* Paid travel after the first 30 minutes.
* Overtime paid at 1.5x. Sundays and Bank Holidays paid at 2x.
* On-call rota: 1 in 9.
* Minimum 5-hour payment for attended call-outs, plus a £50 attendance bonus.
* 33 days annual leave including Bank Holidays + Birthday day off.
* Company sick pay following probation.
* Quarterly performance bonus.
* Company van, fuel card, mobile phone and tablet.
